I wrote a haiku about my feelings towards today’s review item:
More than just a ring
Tantus Beginner C-Sling
Why don’t you work right?
Well, I’m certainly not letting my personal lack of male parts get in the way of reviewing boy toys, I just wish that I had something more positive to say today. I shouldn’t be such a Debbie Downer right off the bat… I feel like Sadness from Inside Out (we got that movie for Christmas! Wee!).
I got a new box of goodies from the AMAZING Tantus folks, and in it I requested one of their Beginner C-Slings. I’ve become interested in cock rings, even if I’m still terrified of the veiny, throbbing monsters they produce. The C-Sling looked interesting, I honestly had no idea how it would work or what it was, but I was interested. When it arrived I was a little shocked with how big it was, it was like a suit of armor for your genitals! It also kind of reminded me of a big dog tongue licking furiously at your perineum…
That great mental image aside, the Tantus Beginner C-Sling looks like a basic cock ring, only with an attached tongue/tail that is supposed to reach back and massage or apply pressure to your perineum (that bit of space between your butthole and your scrotum) to provide some added pleasure while masturbating or during sex.
I understand what it is supposed to do, the contoured tongue bit should point down towards the anus and gently massage the perineum and in theory that sounds great! In practice, we didn’t have such great luck with the C-Sling.
Even though the beginner C-Sling has the same 2 inch diameter as the beginner cock ring, we still has a bit of trouble getting it on. There isn’t a whole lot of stretch to the toy, so there was some mild frustration getting it into place. What we discovered is that, like a basic cock ring, you will probably need to lube up the inside of the ring a bit, then the trick seems to be to ease one testicle through the ring at a time, and then pull the rest of your penis through at the end. Also, this all works best before an erection is achieved. It seemed kind of fiddly, like it had a bit of a learning curve to it. But, if you are a cock ring pro, this may all be old hat to you. My Stunt-Cock mentioned that there was some uncomfortable pinching going on near the scrotal area, so maybe we weren’t quite getting the placement of the C-Sling correct.
Once in place, the C-Sling acts like any other cock ring. It turned my Stunt-Cock’s mild-mannered penis into a dark red, throbbing, veiny beast of a dick. Visually appealing and I love the way a penis in a cock ring feels during penetration! Turns it into a kind of living dildo! On Stunt-Cock’s end, the C-Sling seemed to provide very little sensation around the perineum. He thinks that maybe it would take further experimentation to find the right sexual position to get it to work, although we aren’t sure if the C-Sling is reaching back far enough to hit his perineum correctly. I’ve read in other reviews that men who carry some extra weight have also had trouble positioning the C-Sling correctly and getting it to reach the perineum. So, that is something to consider before purchasing.
With all our troubles, you are probably wondering if I would bother recommending the C-Sling. I wan’t to make this clear, it is not a bad toy, it is just not the right toy for us. It is a high-quality toy, made from Tantus’ super luxurious silicone (if nothing else, I really like to pet this cock ring like the cat I don’t have.). It is seamless, so there is nothing that scratches, pokes, or chafes during wear. Either we were unable to figure out the “sweet spot” for this toy and it would simply take more practice, or Stunt-Cock simply had a body shape that didn’t work out well with the design of this toy. Either way, I don’t want to completely deter from trying out the C-Sling if it’s something you are interested in. It’s a neat toy and you can’t go wrong with Tantus! Just be aware that it does seem to be a fiddly toy that might take some practice and a few tries to get right. For us, we will be sticking with our favorite Tantus Super Soft C-Ring for now!
The Tantus Beginner C-Sling is only available in one size and in one color (black), however, if you are looking for a tighter fit they do offer the regular C-Sling at the same price which has a smaller diameter and comes in red or black.
You can purchase a Tantus Beginner C-Sling from the Tantus website for $32.99!
The Tantus Beginner C-Sling was provided to me free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
