My particular Tantus Ryder came to me via the latest grab bag sale. 30% off? Who was I to turn a deal like that down. I had my fingers crossed for any color but purple. Sadly, when it arrived it was a deep, dark purple. Boo, hiss. Oh well, it’s still a nice color and I’m pretty sure purple doesn’t feel any different in my butt then any other color, I was just hoping for something… different.

Made from Tantus’ own ultra-premium silicone that is 100% body safe and extremely easy to clean, the Ryder is a great plug to add to your anal arsenal. I would described the over-all shape of the plug as egg-esque. The top is rather blunt, which means there is no easing into this one. At it’s widest point Ryder is 1.5 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches in insertable length. It provides a fairly gentle stretch as it slides in, and a nice feeling of fullness once it slips into place. Even with a blunter tip then I am used too, I never thought Ryder was uncomfortable or difficult to insert or remove. Once it was in place, I really loved it. It stayed in place as I walked around, jumped, skipped, twerked, and then finally masturbated. It never shifted and even stayed put during orgasm – no butt rocket launch! The base is also pretty amazing as far as butt plugs go, the smaller, rectangular base fits pretty perfectly between the cheeks. It wasn’t obnoxious or obvious… I’m definitely a fan of the design. Now, I’ve seen differing opinions on who would like this plug. Some people swear that the Ryder is the perfect plug for beginners, others claim it is not for the faint of heart and tight of sphincter. I kind of lean towards the latter, I probably wouldn’t recommend this to a total anal beginner looking to pop their butt cherry. However, if you have engaged in anal sex before and have no problems with a penis, the Ryder should pose no threat to you. And really, this plug will probably work for anyone with enough lube, warm-up, and a relaxed sphincter.
Overall, this the Tantus Ryder is a really great butt plug and I do highly recommend it! On its own its a great solo toy, great for extended wear, and awesome during sex or masturbation sessions.
