Did you know that today is International Rabbit Day? If you didn’t know, are you really all that surprised? They have a day for everything, apparently yesterday was World Gratitude Day and tomorrow is Dog in Politics Day. While I have no idea how we are supposed to celebrate Fog in Politics Day… we can make up for missing World Gratitude Day by being grateful that today is International Rabbit Day!

Rabbits come in all forms… fluffy rabbits, giant rabbits, miniature rabbits… even vibrating rabbits! Did you like that segue? I thought it was pretty smooth. Okay, sure… International Rabbit Day is probably geared towards the living, breathing cotton tailed balls of floof… but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate my favorite kind of rabbit… the kind that give me orgasms! Today we celebrate the Happy Rabbit Curve Vibrator!

I actually won the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit many months ago in a silly May the Fourth (Star Wars Day) contest that Lovehoney held. The idea was to recreate a scene from Star Wars using only sex toys. So I attached my CalExotics Mini Marvels Marvelous Teaser to the back of my Tantus Gary (using copious amounts of tape… turns out it’s rather difficult to scotch tape two silicone toys together) and then photoshopped them into the Swamps of Dagoba (you get where I’m going with this right? It’s Yoda and Luke). It’s really pretty stupid… but apparently it was just stupid enough to be clever and I won the Star Wats Day contest (I was actually pretty surprised, there were some pretty kick ass entries in that contest)! Anyway, so yeah… that is the origin story, that is how the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit came to be in my possession (along with some other amazing prizes).

I knew I was going to love this Rabbit long before I even took it out of the packaging. No, it’s not because I’m psychic (although how handy would that be…) but rather I’ve already experienced something eerily similar to the Happy Rabbit; the Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl Rabbit Vibrator. The Greedy Girl has been, hands down, one of my most favorite rabbit vibrators to date. The only thing I have hated about that particular vibrator is the branding… I am in no way a fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey series! I found the books impossible to get through and the movies even worse… I appreciate that it made erotica a more mainstream genre, but there are so many better erotica stories out there… it anyway, I digress. So the Fifty Shades branding of the toy was the one thing that always made me somewhat hesitant to recommend it to everyone (some people have even stronger reactions to the series than I do), and while For some time now I have wondered and been rather convinced that the Happy Rabbit was the exact same vibrator as the Greedy Girl, with just different branding. The toys like IDENTICAL (except for the FSOG branding) but I didn’t want to use them interchangeably until I actually felt for myself that they were exactly the same.

Now that I’ve had a chance to test out the Happy Rabbit for myself, I am pretty confident telling you that the Greedy Girl and the Happy Rabbit are essentially the same toy. Although I’m not yet sure if they are the exact same toy. But from what I know, Lovehoney created (or is somehow otherwise involved with) the Fifty Shades of Grey toy line as well as being the somehow involved with the Happy Rabbit line (although someone correct me if I’ve been given wildly incorrect information), so it would make sense if they were the same Rabbit (hey… if you’ve got something that works, why change it…). I really honestly can’t get over how very nearly identical my Happy Rabbit is to my Greedy Girl, same basic shape (only difference is the head), same rabbit arm design, same materials, same base and button placement… the only difference is my Happy Rabbit is a deep pink and the Greedy Girl is black. If these two vibrators are not the same thing they are at the very least closely related (just look at this picture of them in a side by side comparison… TWINSIES). Anyone feeling like a super sleuth and want to get to the bottom of this for me?

So, in my experience, a good Rabbit vibrator is hard to find. Almost never do I find a rabbit vibe where the ‘ears’ hit my clit in a good way, they are often too long and expand well past my clit or they are too short and are more of an annoying tease then a satisfying feature. Then it turns into a Sophie’s Choice between positioning the ears in a comfortable location but sacrificing the comfort or length of the insertable shaft or moving the shaft of the toy in a way that I like but have the clitoral arm go who knows where (usually everywhere but my clit). So you can see why most rabbit vibrators end up in frustration for me. But every once and awhile a rabbit vibrator appears from the mists and is everything that I am looking for in a rabbit. The Happy Rabbit is one such vibrator, I can full insert the shaft of the toy while the rabbit ears still hit their mark, it is powerful, it is rumbly, it is an orgasmic dream as far as I’m concerned. I honestly feel like I could just end this review right here… I could just tell you “The Happy Rabbit Curve Vibrator is top notch and is 100% worth buying. Thank you and good night!” But I’m guessing you’re going to want just a little bit more information about this rumbly bunny.

Upon arrival, the Happy Rabbit is locked into its travel mode. This is a super handy function that allows you to lock your vibrator before tossing it into a suitcase or backpack and ensures there will be no accidental turn on’s while you travel, which prevents any embarrassing (what do you mean open my bag up for you in front of all these people TSA agent…) situations and you won’t arrive to your destination with a burnt out vibe and frustrated that you need to re-charge your toy. The Happy Rabbit does takes about 150 minutes to recharge… that is 150 minutes that could have been spent masturbating. Luckily, the Happy Rabbit has a travel lock, so you don’t have to worry about these “what ifs.” However, upon arrival I did not realize the Happy Rabbit had a travel lock. I kept pressing the buttons and the Happy Rabbit would buzz once then stop. So I pressed again… one buzz… then dead… I was getting so angry at the very idea that I would have to charge the vibrator to full before I could test it out (I’m neither a patient or rational person). But as I was digging for the charging cable the instruction booklet fell out of the box and wouldn’t you know it… it says right there… “travel lock.” To unlock the Happy Rabbit all you got to do is hold down both buttons until it buzzes, then off you go.

The Happy Rabbit looks like a big toy, it measures in with a total length of 10 inches but only half of that is actually insertable length. The Happy Rabbit is a perfectly manageable toy and in my “Goldielock” zone as far as girth goes… at 4.75 inches in circumference it’s just right. The shaft of the toy is on the flexible side, it actually feels like it might be hallow in the space between the head and the rabbit, I can squeeze it and its got quite a lot of give to it, but the head of the toy is hard with just a little bit of squish to the silicone surrounding whatever the hard head is made from (Plastic? Metal? Bone? Rock? A MAGICAL ALCHEMICAL SUBSTANCE?! Who knows… its a mystery… but I can tell you with confidence that the outside is definitely silicone).

My favorite thing about the Happy Rabbit is probably its two motor set up. That’s right, you heard me, the Happy Rabbit has TWO FREAKIN’ MOTORS!!! One motor is situated in the clitoral arm (it makes the bunny go) and the other sits in the shaft and both motors are equally powerful! This means that I am able to control the rabbit ears independently of the main shaft of the vibrator. While using the Happy Rabbit I spent a lot of time turning one motor or the other off, it really allowed me to customize my experience. To turn on the the main shaft of the vibrator just give the longer button a quick press. To turn on the rabbit arm just give the smaller round button a quick press. To turn off either the arm or the shaft just press and hold its corresponding button until it powers down. The external rabbit arm has three settings, a low, medium and high intensity (steady vibrations, no patterns) while the shaft of the toy has a grand total of twelve settings! Yep… twelve… its an overachiever.  The shaft contains three constant vibration speeds (a low, medium and high) and nine pattern modes. This is one of the few vibrators where I got a real thrill out of all the included patterns. There is something about the combination of steady vibrations from the rabbit arm of the vibrator while rumbly patterns bump and thump and cha cha across my g-spot. My first orgasm with this toy came fast and I came hard.

I’m also a pretty big fan of the head of this toy. That rounded and ever so slightly curved head is wonderfully easy to insert and rests ever so nicely up against my g-spot. Part of me wishes that I could get rid of the rabbit arm and just use the shaft of this toy as a stand alone vibrator… it works so well for me. Now, normally I like a g-spot toy that I can thrust with a bit more… but I’m not able to do a whole lot of wild thrusting with the Happy Rabbit (I mean… I can… but then I end up stabbing myself with pointy little rabbit ears, so I need to be a bit more gentle…). But with the Happy Rabbit, I am actually okay with the fact that I can thrust wildly against my g-spot. I love the more subtle rubbing of the head up against my g-spot, letting the vibration pulsations massage me into pure ecstasy. Okay, I know… that sounds corny… but I really do enjoy it (I enjoy it a lot). Even though I just said I wish I could get ride of the rabbit arm… I still really do like it. As far as rabbits go, this one works incredibly well for me. The chubby bunny ears manage to hit my clit just right without a whole lot of fiddling on my part. It just kind of naturally hits the right position. In use, the Happy Rabbit is really the total package for me… it gives me quick orgasms every time.

Okay, the TLDR version of this review: I absolutely LOVE the Happy Rabbit Curve Vibrator. Part of me wants to demand that each and everyone of you go out and buy one. Buuuuuut… even though I find this to be one of the better rabbit vibrators out there… it is still a rabbit vibrator and rabbits seem to be so hit or miss for people, while it fits my body perfectly… it may not be a perfect fit for everyone… so I don’t want to hype it up SO much that I really disappoint someone who buys it and doesn’t like it. However, if you are looking for an excellent rabbit vibrator that is under $100 (if for some reason you are looking for a rabbit vibrator over $100 then I would recommend the We-Vibe Nova), I would definitely point you towards the Happy Rabbit (or the Greedy Girl if you are super into Fifty Shades)!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL RABBIT DAY! If you are ready to celebrate with me, hop on over to Lovehoney and pick one up for yourself! The Happy Rabbit Curve is what is pictured here, but it is also available in several other models, check out the whole Happy Rabbit line to find your perfect vibrator!
