Okay, at what point does a person own too many Satisfyers? Is there a specific number? Like, is 11 too many? Asking for a friend…
That friend is me. I own all the Satisfyers. ALL THE SATISFYERS. You can’t turn around in my house without tripping over a Satisfyer sex toy. It’s becoming kind of humorous… but also maybe a problem. I am going to end up in that TV show “Hoarders” and people will be opening up my drawers and closets and Satisfyers of all makes and models will rain down on them and they will shake their heads with a “tsk tsk” and I will just deny that I have a problem.
I DONT HAVE A SATISFYER PROBLEM! YOU HAVE A SATISFYER PROBLEM!
Okay, so the reason I ask is that my friends at Betty’s Toy Box have sent me the Satisfyer Pro Traveler and I’m both super excited and a little burned out on Satisfyers at this point… I mean, I practically have a literal (yes, LITERAL) mountain of these toys… and honestly, how much different could this one be from every other Satisfyer model I own? They all seem to run on more or less the same pressure wave technology that doesn’t feel to me like they have really changed or reconfigured in anyway… the biggest difference between Satisfyer Models seems to be mostly aesthetic and the occasional addition or removal of a feature (such as adding vibration or changing up the button configuration). Not that I’m really complaining… I really do enjoy these toys a whole heck of a lot.
Well, the Pro Traveler does happen to be one of the cheapest Satisfyer toys currently on the market, so right off the bat it’s got affordability going for it (the battery powered Satisfyer models can be found for a few bucks cheaper, but the Pro Traveler is the cheapest of the rechargeable Satisfyer line). It is also probably one of the more attractive looking models (although maybe not as cute as the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation with its cute little bow tie) and looks almost nothing like an ear thermometer (so thats a huge bonus). Compared to its siblings in the Satisfyer line the Pro Traveler does look like the sibling who left their home in the country to become a big shot in the big city… it is more streamlined and classy looking, especially given its darker purple color (or is it brown… I’m having a hard time with this color…although I’m leaning towards a deep purple) and shiny rose gold (or is it silver… geez, I can’t nail the color down on this thing) accents… its a far cry from the bronze ear thermometer that is the Satisfyer Pro 2 and I’m really into it.
The Satisfyer Pro Traveler is also probably one of the easiest Satisfyer models to travel with (hence the name… so this probably is not a shocker to you…). It is just a smidge bigger than what I consider to be palm-sized (but not by much… so really… we can probably go ahead and call it palm-sized… I just happen to have weirdly small hands…), but it is quite compact and streamline. The built-in magnetic storage case system is probably the coolest thing about the Satisfyer Pro Traveler. Half of the Pro Traveler is made up of the lid portion while the other half is the actual toy portion. It sort of reminds me of some kind of cryogenic pod that you might find aboard some kind of futuristic long distance space ship (coincidentally, I just watched ‘Passengers’ last night and absolutely looooooved it)… although hopefully when you lift the lid of your Satisfyer Pro Traveler you just find a fabulous sex toy and not the body of a frozen human. Mine had just a sex toy inside, in case you’re wondering… no cryogenically frozen futuristic beings (I can’t decide if I’m disappointed or not…). When closed, unless you are already familiar with the Satisfyer Pro Traveler, the casual observer would probably have no clue what it is you are carrying around… which again, makes this the perfect toy for travel (or just storing in your nightstand).
Operating the Satisfyer Pro Traveler is super easy. There are only two buttons to have to contend with, there is just the standard (+) and a (-). To power the Pro Traveler up just press and hold the (+) button until the toy springs to life, repeat this step to turn the toy off again. To cycle through the Pro Travelers intensity settings use the (+) button to build the intensity and the (-) button to back it back down again. There are eleven intensities in total, although I rarely find myself going past 7 or 8… they are quite… well… intense! It’s a very simple operation system. Also, the placement of these buttons provides another great feature for travel. Rather than being on the outside of the toy the buttons are tucked right under the Satisfyers nozzle so when the toy is closed and in its stealth travel form there is no danger of the buttons being accidentally pressed and having the toy turn on in your bag (which is something I have experienced with other vibrators… once even at an airport… although no one but myself noticed it…).
In use, I was not disappointed. In case you are not yet familiar with how to use these suction based toys, all you do is place the round silicone rimmed opening over your clit (or nipples… I frequently use the Satisfyer to kind of tickle and tug and my nipples… it feels remarkably delightful…), turn the toy on, and let it work it’ pressure wave technology magic on you! I often hear the sensation described as feeling like oral sex… and while I kind of get where that idea is coming from… it is far to rhythmic and precicse to really feel 100% like oral sex… so if you are looking for a realistic oral sex experience, this probably isn’t it. Even so… I love the way the Satisfyers feel… however you may describe the sensation… I simply describe it as fucking awesome. So, it should be no surprise that I have fallen in love with the Satisfyer Pro Traveler. For me the orgasms were both quick and easy to achieve, there was not a whole lot of build up… it was just orgasms flowing seemingly effortlessly (which is something I love about this toy). I have also found that I can have multiple orgasms without having to give my clit any downtime, with a vibrator my clit becomes incredibly sensitive after an orgasm and I usually have to wait a minute or two before I can go anywhere near it again… but with the Satisfyer, since there is never actually anything touching my clit… I can just keep going and going and going… like the Energizer Bunny! On the flip side though, I had a friend tell me they found the constant tap tap tap of the Satisfyer to be too weird and foreign of a sensation and she just wasn’t able to orgasm with it, she couldn’t get into the feeling… and I feel kind of bad, because I was the one who recommend it to her. So… while the Satisfyer seems to be loved by many… there are those who think it is just too strange for their comfort. There are occasions when I’m just not feeling the whole ‘pressure wave’ thing happening directly over my clit… sometimes it does feel just too weird and a little overwhelming… on those occasions I find that it works to position the Satisfyer just above or next to my clit, it still feels pretty amazing, but its a little bit more subdued and easier for me to handle.
Other perks about the Satisfyer Pro Traveler is that it is waterproof (yay for easy cleaning) and it is rechargeable. It comes with a magnetic USB charging cable that works very well… I have no connection issues with the magnetic nubs, they connect, they stay connected, its not loose or finicky like some magnetic charger I have for other toys.
The Satisfyer Pro Traveler is compact, light, discreet and (as the name suggests) perfect for travel! But, regardless of your travel plans (or lack thereof) the Satisfyer Pro Traveler is an excellent toy to add to your collection! The price-point especially makes it the most attractive of the Satisfyer models, perfect for those who are looking to try their first suction based toy and aren’t ready to break the bank with one of the pricier models. This is also a great purchase if you already are familiar with the Satisfyer toys but would like something that looks a little more… elegant… more like a toy a classy-ass adult would own and less like a boomerang or a weird pipe. The Satisfyer Pro Traveler has everything the other Satisfyer models have… plus its own handy-dandy storage case! It has become by far my favorite Satisfyer model (although I do still really like that bowtie on the Pro Penguin…) and one that I can whole heartedly recommend to you!
