I can’t even tell you the number of times I’ve looked at my butt in the mirror and said to myself “damn, that’s a nice ass.” But then on further reflection lamented that unlike the adorable woodland creatures of the forest, my ass does not possess a fluffy tail. We’ve all been there… I’m sure of it… just thoughtfully enjoying our rear end but also realizing that something fluffy is missing… Thankfully, the Blush Novelties Pom Plugs exists. The Pom Plug is a silicone butt plug with a fluffy bun-bun tail attached. With it inserted my already delightful ass can now become at least 100% more adorable. IT’S SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE!
As I’m pretty sure I’ve already mentioned (and will probably continue to mention any chance I get), I really love tail plugs. I think they are super fun, they are cute, and they make for some sexy role play. When I first started reviewing sex toys tail plugs were the item I really lusted after the most, but at the time they seemed so unobtainable price-wise. All I was seeing was beautiful glass plugs with long pony tails and stainless steel plugs with real fox fur tails… and all of these were in the triple digit price range and waaaaay out of my budget. But then in swoops Blush Novelties with its under $20 price tag (at the time of this review its available for only $17.99 at SheVibe!)… oh yes… you heard me right… a swanky ass tail plug for under TWENTY DOLLARS!
Without a doubt, the crowning glory of the Blush Novelties Pom Plugs are the big cloud of soft furry floof that makes up the tail portion of the plug and don’t worry the tail is synthetic, no bunnies were actually harmed in the making of the Pom Plug… unless synthetic bunnies are a thing? OMG does Blush have a farm of synthetic bunnies they harvest these beautiful floof butt tails from!?! I will put on my investigative journalist hat on and find out… The answer is no. No they do not… (although that is exactly what they would want me to believe if they were running an underground synthetic bunny farm…). The Pom Plug comes in four bunny-riffic colors – burgundy, black, white, and brown. The black Pom Plug is what is featured in this review, but dang… I wish I would have got that burgundy, it looks fantastic! Also, it is probably worth noting that the tail isn’t made up of only fake hair, its more like that fuax fur fabric sewed around a stuffed ball, which means it will pretty much always maintain that round cotton tail shape.

The taper of the silicone plug from tip to base is pretty gentle which makes for a rather comfortable and easy (at least easy for me…) insertion. The silicone is velvety soft, but does have a fair bit of drag to it, so I did have to use what I felt like was an excessive amount of lube (all though is there really such a thing as too much lube? Probably not…). I would be comfortable recommending Pom Plugs to butt plug beginners, size-wise I don’t think it is too intimidating. It has a total length of 5 inches with 3.5 of those inches being actual insertable length and it is only 1.5 inches at its widest point.
In use the tail stayed perfectly in place both during sex and while prancing around my house pretending I was the loveliest bunny in the forest. The flared base did not interfere with sex or inserting a dildo into my pussy (some plugs have bases that manage to block my vagina opening… like some kind of butt plug that is moonlighting as a chastity device… not the case with the Pom Plug). The plug was very comfortable, I honestly felt like I could have worn it around all day… although the tail gets in the way when trying to sit down comfortably… but how adorable to wear a skirt with no panties and to show off just a hint of fluffy bunny butt when you bend over! Okay… now I need a short skirt… I’ve got plans for later…
Cleaning the Pom Plug is not as difficult as you may be imagining. I didn’t realize this until I was actually washing my plug, but the tail portion of the plug is detachable! Hot damn! This makes clean up a breeze, just wash the silicone plug portion as you would any other silicone toy and if you find that the tail needs some attention just wipe it clean with a bit of water than either set aside to air dry or give it a quick blow dry on a cool setting. My tail only needed a little zhooshing by hand to fluff it back into its puffball shape and it was once again ready for action! A little bonus about the tail being removable… the hole it leaves behind happens to fit quite a few of my bullet vibrators perfectly (including the We-Vibe Tango)… so if you aren’t in a bunny rabbit mood, pull out the tail and turn it into a vibrating butt plug! Now it’s like you got a 2 for 1 deal with this plug!

I think one of the only things I dislike about the Blush Novelties Pom Plugs is the packaging. The plastic clam shell feels like an environmental nightmare to me… also, the insert with the lingerie clad butt seems too… sexual to me. Okay… okay… I know that the Pom Plug is a sex toy… but some how the lingerie butt cheapens an otherwise adorably awesome product for me… like it feels like something I would sheepishly pull of the shelf of a skeevy, dimly lit sex shop… the packaging just doesn’t fit the quality of the product. My dream packaging for this toy would be a simple matte box… that says “Pom Plug” and out of a small cut out in the top the fluffy tail would explode through in all its cotton tail glory… yes…. that would be packaging I could be excited about (sure… maybe its not the most practical way of packaging the plug… but damn it would be classy)!
So, do I recommend the Blush Novelties Pom Plugs? Heck yeah I do! First of all, there is a veritable sea of pony tail plugs flooding the market (note to self: make seahorse plugs a thing)… so having the option to be a bunny is awesome! Second of all the price tag is just super attractive and makes this a great entry level option for someone who wants to see if a tail plug might be their thing before spending those triple digits on some of the ‘fancier’ tails and if you plop it in and realize maybe tail plugs aren’t exactly everything you were thinking they would be… pull the tail out and you have yourself a nice butt plug (although without something in the hallow of the plug the neck becomes very soft and bends easily) or add the bullet vibrator and you’ve got a vibrating plug… no money wasted! And lastly, the plug is of a very nice quality, the silicone is soft to the touch and easy to maintain and I personally think it is super comfortable to wear. Honestly, I really don’t think you could go wrong with adding a Pom Plug to your collection.
