So, yet another Bad Dragon creation has come to join my sex toy stable! I know, I’m starting to look like I’m obsessed with Bad Dragon… well, maybe I am… but is that such a bad thing? Really?
This time, it is Nox the Night Drake who has been delivered into my den of iniquity.
On a side note, I get a little private giggle when I think about how many sex toys my poor mailman has unwittingly delivered into my hands. How many Dragon Dongs he has carried up to my door… tee-hee.
But, fear not Bad Dragon’s packaging is very discreet, no one will ever know you are being shipped a sex toy! In fact the packaging is so discrete, that sometimes I go “who the heck is this from?!” when I find it sitting outside of my door.
Right out of the box I will admit I was a little under-whelmed by Nox at first. I’ve been on a run of BIG toys lately, and after my last Bad Dragon review I was a little taken aback by how small and dainty my Nox looked. It is so tiny and adorable, I just want to protect it and take care of it, shielding it from the big bad outside world until it grows up into a big bad dildo, like its step-siblings (Flint and Hanns.)
Okay, granted, I did order my Nox in the smallest size possible. So I shouldn’t really be all that surprised by its size. I decided it was time to give my poor vagina a break from all the massive behemoths I’ve been forcing into it. My vagina has thanked me for this.
But, if your vagina (or anus) is craving something bigger, no worries, there are three other sizes for you to choose from. You are sure to find the right fit for your hole of choice.
The color of my Nox is unbelievable (yet again.)! Considering how vague (yet oddly specific) I am with my color wants… they really nailed it. My exact request was “I’m feeling kind of dark, can you make it look like a night sky? Something with dark blue or blackish, or glittery… I don’t know.” Yeah… I’m a joy to work with. But, they were really quick to email me a link to the “Infinity Star.” Which is pretty much exactly what I wanted, once again, they peered into my soul and ripped out the exact color I wanted. Its a beautifully marbled black, blue and purple, with flecks of gold… perfect!
Because I went for the smaller size, I opted for the firm level of firmness. It is my general rule of thumb that the smaller the toy, the firmer you want it. Although, sometimes I get tripped up when I have to chose between texture and size. Because the firmer the toy, the more the textures stand out, but if the toy is really large, you might want a little more give to it… so, let your own body be your guide on this one. If I were to get Nox in any larger size, I would definitely try out the split level firmness. They offer a medium shaft with a firm base, or a soft shaft with a firm base. This is pretty great, because you don’t have to compromise the great stability of the base (especially if you are using the suction cup for riding your toy!), but still want a little more give to the insertable bit.
And it should be of no surprise that I customized my Nox with a suction cup. The suction cup on Nox is amazing. It can truly grip onto a surface and stay put through some pretty rough riding. Bad Dragon defiantly gets an A+ in my book for their suction cups… I have so many complaints when it comes to suction cups, that it really tickles me to find a toy that gets it right! Also, besides being an awesome suction cup, the base is also ideal for safe anal play! Yay! As with seemingly all Bad Dragon toys, the base is wide enough and firmly attached, so you don’t need to worry about losing Nox up your butt-hole and thus risking an awkward trip the the ER.
Nox the Night Drake is also available with the optional cumtube, which I opted against (again.).
So, by this point, I feel like its pretty safe to say that my vagina is now a connoisseur of all things Bad Dragon. The shape of this toy, with the gentle curve of its shaft and scooped, flat head makes makes Nox a nice g-spot stimulator (and p-spot I would imagine!). While I did not orgasm from the G-spot stimulation of this alone, it did feel very good. The curve of the shaft is not quite as extreme as it was with my Hanns the Mandrake, so riding this toy felt more comfortable, and did not give me the feeling of having a “weak spot” in the curve.
The texture is not as well defined as my other bad dragon toys. There is some smooth “muscular” rippling along the shaft as well as a subtle ridge that runs up the outside of the shaft. It was practically unnoticeable texture-wise when I was using it vaginally, which is a little disappointing, because I do really like some texture oomph to my toys. But, I think that its lack of texture helps to make it a good anal toy (for me at least), because I don’t like a whole lot of texture in my butt, it becomes too overwhelming for me to have too much going on with a toy when its in my ass.
While I was “testing” my Nox, I noticed that it made a really great team player. Because it is on the smaller side, and less textured, it made it easier for me to play with other toys while using Nox. For example, while the Nox was nestled in my vagina, my Hitachi Magic Wand worked its magic on my clit, and it was awesome! Some toys, especially the larger ones, are “star players,” meaning I find the experience too overwhelming if I add in too many extra sensations. Nox also worked out well for double penetration, again, Nox made its home in my vagina while my boyfriend got my ass. Such a versatile toy!
I think Nox the Night Drake, especially in the smaller size, would make a great toy for the Bad Dragon beginner. It isn’t too long or too wide, making it very easy to handle. Perfect for those who aren’t quite yet ready to jump into the bigger, girthier, wilder toys, but still want the Bad Dragon experience!
