MotorBunny – Sex Toy Review

Are you looking for a whisper quiet, discreet vibrator that you can use in your apartment with paper-thin walls that won’t alert Edna, your neighbor, to the fact that you masturbate in your own apartment? If so… just keep scrolling… because that is 100% the opposite of the MotorBunny. I don’t really mean that in a bad way though… sometimes a person just needs to be loud and proud about their sex toys. And when I say loud I mean a jet engine roaring into action in the middle of my bedroom…

Yeah… let’s just go ahead and get this bit of info outta the way first… by no means is the MotorBunny a quiet or discreet toy… but that’s only because it’s so damn powerful. I mean… even if by some miracle it was as quiet as your average vibe you would be making a loud ruckus with all your screaming and moaning anyway… and believe me, you’ll scream… either in ecstasy or sheer terror as this thing really builds up speed.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way… I can’t even begin to express just how stoked I am to be reviewing something like the MotorBunny. In the span of what feels like an incredibly short six years of sex toy blogging I’ve come from reviewing shitty bullet vibes I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemies to something like the Motor Bunny… it’s almost hard to believe! I picked up the most excellent MotorBunny while in Las Vegas attending the 2018 AVN/ANE show. Okay… I hear you saying “But Kitten, that was pretty much exactly one year ago! Why did it take you so long to review this mythical beast!?” Well… the short answer is I’ve never reviewed anything quite like this before and I was scared of getting it wrong. So I was overly cautious and tested the ever-living hell outta this thing. Yeah… that’s right… at great personal sacrifice I spent a year giving myself orgasm after earth shattering orgasm just to be sure I could give you my thorough and honest thoughts on the MotorBunny.

Alright, so what is a MotorBunny? Well… it is what we used to call the girls that hung around the boys with big trucks in high school. We also had Puck Bunnies who clung to hockey players and Ball Bunnies for those who preferred Football players… apparently growing up in a small hick town we were obsessed with both rabbits and unnecessary labeling people. Anyway… the MotorBunny is actually none of these and that was a tangent we really didn’t need to go down. The MotorBunny is a ride on sex machine that is basically a powerful vibrator. Have you heard of the Sybian (I feel like everyone has heard of it at this point). Well, a MotorBunny is like a Sybian… only more affordable. Right now there is a $346 difference between the base MotorBunny kit and the base Sybian kit… which means if you skipped the Sybian and bought a MotorBunny you could have a vibrating beast between your legs and still have enough left over to order 22 pepperoni pizzas from Pizza Hut.

Hauling the MotorBunny home from Vegas was a bit of a feat. My car was already packed pretty full of all my crap, my friend’s crap, and my Stunt Cock’s crap…. and unlike the other toys I was bringing home with me the MotorBunny isn’t exactly small and handheld… it is a BEAST. If “beast” isn’t a standard enough unit of measurement for you and you one of those people who like their measurements done in numbers… the MotorBunny is 10 inches tall by 13.24 inches wide by 12.49 inches long. So I guess it isn’t exactly enormous… but there is a bit of size shock when I’m used to dealing with things that no more than 7 or 8 inches usually. The MotorBunny does manage to fit under my bed (when out of its bock and only just… there is no wiggle room) and it has a lot of pieces to store with it. Besides just containing the MotorBunny machine itself, the box in which it came in was also packed with the Bunny Rest (a stool that is good for the rider to lean again or as a stool for a partner to sit on), four attachments, two attachment risers, four support rods, the A/C power supply, a universal wall adapter, and the MotorBunny controller… which is everything that comes as part of the starter MotorBunny kit!

The MotorBunny doesn’t look as polished as I think it could. The padded cover around the machine is puckered in places and it ends up making it look cheap (but if you actually see the MotorBunny up close and personal there is actually nothing cheap about it, it’s seems very well made and sturdy). Although when I talked to MotorBunny in Las Vegas they acknowledged the aesthetic flaws and if I am remembering our conversation correctly it was something they were working on for the newer MotorBunnies. And just looking at the MotorBunny website just now I am seeing nice, smooth covers on the machines… so it would seem as this has already been addressed and this may be a moot point, but it’s possible there are still MotorBunnies like mine floating around… so still worth mentioning… in case you check out the MotorBunny online and see its nice, smooth, polished look but then buy your MotorBunny from elsewhere and end up with an older, puckered one… just know there is nothing wrong with your machine and it will still give you a fantastic thrill-ride!

The attachments were a bit of a disappointment. Design-wise they are fine and are actually pretty close to what you find with the Sybian. There are three attachments you can use for penitration (small, medium, and a slip-on penis cover for the medium) and one with a flat top with a raised nub for grinding against (that one is my favorite). While I think the designs could maybe be a little bit more exciting, I’m fine with them. It is the material that they are made from that gives me pause. The four attachments that come with the basic kit are made from TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). While this is technically “safe” (I say this with a hefty eye-roll) it isn’t at all ideal. TPE is porous and you will not be able to ever completely disinfect it. This means you will not want to share your MotorBunny attachments with any other users and you will need to monitor them for any signs of wear, rips, tears, odd smells, or discoloration (and discard them if you find anything like this). Also, avoid any oil-based lubes if you are using the TPE attachments, as the oil has the potential to degrade the material. In storage my TPE attachments all bent and warped and curled, they don’t sit nice and flat anymore and I’m not sure if there is a way to fix that, while this doesn’t impact functionality at all… it bothers the part of me that likes things to look crisp and clean and perfect.

Thankfully, MotorBunny does offer silicone attachments, just not as part of the starter kit, they will have to be purchased separately and individually (I’d like to see a bunch of silicone attachments sold as a set personally…or maybe as an option/upgrade when you are buying the MotorBunny starter kit). So if you are planning to buy the MotorBunny to bring to play parties or to put into a play room that is shared by multiple people you will definitely need to invest in the silicone attachments. Looking over at what is offered with the silicone attachments, I don’t know why MotorBunny doesn’t just do away with the TPE attachments altogether… their silicone designs are much more interesting and look like WAY more fun than the boring and basic TPE designs. Getting a hold of some of the silicone attachments is definitely high on my things to acquire list… I would like to be able to share my MotorBunny with friends!

One fun feature of the MotorBunny that is not present on the Sybian is the four tie down points (two on either end). This is great for some BDSM type fun… you can restrain the rider with restraints or nipple clamps (both sold in the MotorBunny Store) that clip into the tie down points. That is a small, yet fun little feature that makes the MotorBunny stand out from the ride on sex machine crowd. I have not yet been able to utilize the tie downs, I don’t have any restraints that work with this tie down points… although now that I am sitting here typing this, I’m kind of wondering why I never tried just using plain old rope slipped through the tie down points. Sometimes I over think things and miss the obvious solutions… well… next time I pull the MotorBunny out I will have to grab my brand new length of cotton bondage rope Stockroom sent me and see what I can come up with.

Setting up the MotorBunny isn’t too super hard, at first I was a bit overwhelmed because it just seemed like I was pulling out so much stuff from the box… but after a quick flip through the instruction manual, I realized it wasn’t all that bad. There are two sockets, one on either end of the machine, for plugging the controls and the power into. You don’t need to worry about plugging them in incorrectly as they will only plug into their respective sockets, but in order to save you time and the hassle of trying to figure out which end is which… look for the little lightning bolt to plug your power lead into (I figured this out after trying to plug the power into the wrong end… then realizing… “oh, hey… I bet this lightening bolt means power.”). Also, the MotorBunny comes with a universal travel adaptor, so if you are using your MotorBunny outside of the US… no worries… you can use it anywhere your heart desires (as long as there is a working outlet). Once you’ve got your cables sorted out and into the right sockets it is time to choose your attachment. My favorite by far is just the flat top one (which I think they officially call something like “Low Motorbunny Attachment”) which I attach by stretching over the raised bit of the MotorBunny. If I were to attach one of the attachments that penetrate I would also place one of the stiffening support rods… which is either a firm or springy rod that is inserted into a hole in the top of the MotorBunny then the penetrating part of the toy slides down on top of that. I feel like I’m making it sound more confusing and complicated than it really is. Also included are two attachment risers that can be placed on the MotorBunny before placing the attachment of your choice, these risers add a bit of height and help increase clitoral contact. I wasn’t a fan of the risers, I didn’t need them… but its good to know they are there.

Controlling the MotorBunny is insanely easy, despite the control pad looking intimidating… the whole shebang is controlled with just two dials. There is one dial for making things twirl and another dial that controls the speed. There is an LED indicator to show you which function is currently live (you can twirl and not vibrate, you can vibrate with no twirl, or you can go hog wild and twirl and vibrate until you are ready to pass out). Each dial goes from 0 to 11, because in the spirit of Spinal Tap the MotorBunny wanted to be powerful… but still go up one more! So, when a penitration attachment is attached you can make the thing twirl around… which wasn’t as exciting as I wanted it to be. It is kind of a weird feeling motion for me… I don’t hate it… but it feels… different… I guess I just don’t expect dicks to twirl around inside me. I would far prefer if it could thrust or pulsate or something… but I guess twirling is better than nothing. When it comes to vibrations… holy cow… hold onto your hat because this thing can really get going (up to 11!). At one point I thought the MotorBunny was going to vibrate a hole right through my hardwood floor and fall into the crawlspace below… of course it didn’t… but it felt like it had enough power that it could totally do that if it wanted to. Also… while filming a demo video of the MotorBunny vibrating at top speed I noticed that without a rider it wanted to walk across my floor like an unruly, unbalanced washing machine… and this started to make me imagine running MotorBunny races… because how much fun would that be… lining up a bunch of MotorBunnies, turning them on full blast and just waiting for one to cross the finish line… I’d totally watch that.

Using the MotorBunny is quite the experience. There are vibrators… then there are VIBRATORS. Holy buckets… even its first setting feels more powerful than any vibrator I own. The lower settings have a real deep rumble that I feel like I could just ride all day long… I’m just going to get rid of my furniture and replace them with MotorBunnies… I can rumble while I watch TV or read a book. Then as it goes higher and higher things get CRAZY. In the hands of a partner, the upper speeds almost felt like I was being punished (in a good way)… I was being a bit of a brat while playing with this and Stunt Cock would punish (reward?) me with some time at the high speeds. Can you imaging how much fun it would be to restrain your partner onto the MotorBunny and have them be at your mercy… this is now high on my bucket list of things I want to do. When on the highest settings (9, 10, 11) I feel like my orgasms are just a heard of zebras. What does that mean? Well… I’m glad you ask… a zebra orgasm is one where I can’t tell where one ends and the next begins. It is just a constant wave of orgasms… some powerful… some are just pleasurable shudders that just keep going and going… its wild. I have never experienced this from any other toy (well, except the Sybian).

I know a lot of people will be searching for reviews comparing the MotorBunny to the Sybian. It has been at least four or five years since I’ve ridden on a Sybian, so I can’t really compare the MotorBunny to it with a whole lot of precision (I barely remember what I did last week and you want me to recall five years ago?). But from what I can remember of the Sybian, I have enjoyed riding the MotorBunny just as much or maybe more. The motor used in the MotorBunny is stronger than the one that is in the Sybian… but like I said, its been awhile since I’ve ridden a Sybian, so I can’t say if that translates into the MotorBunny feeling significantly stronger or not.  One thing I do remember quite clearly is thinking that the Sybian was a bit hard and uncomfortable to straddle after awhile, in all my times testing the MotorBunny not once have I had that issue, the machine has a nice, thick padding that is very comfortable to sit on. Another feature the MotorBunny has that the Sybian does not is the ability to be controlled via a Bluetooth controller called the Link. It plugs into the MotorBunny in place of the standard control and allows for a bit more creativity than the dials. I do not have the Link controller, so I can’t tell you how well it works, but it is something I would like to try (I’ll report back if/when I get a chance to use it)!

If you have been looking to purchase a ride on sex machine, I can definitely recommend the MotorBunny. I feel like it has a few extra features that the Sybian is missing (minor things, but they are nice to have) and the price is a bit more palatable (triple digits instead of quad digits). It is an incredibly powerful machine that will literally rip orgasms from you… or at the lower speeds edge and tease you until you can not take it any more. This is a great toy for your own private solo use, for a couple to enjoy together, or to have on hand for play parties or as part of a dungeon set up. I think the MotorBunny would be especially fun for any camgirls out there looking for a fun toy to add to their shows as well (although I’m sure this isn’t news to any of you), especially since the MotorBunny made internet control a thing for their machines, meaning someone could control it long distance by using a special code that you provide to them! If you are waffling between a Sybian and a MotorBunny and the cheaper price tag hasn’t convinced you, the MotorBunny seems to be functionally better according to the stats… it has a higher RPM of rotation, stronger vibration power and a faster RPM of vibration. It is also lighter than a Sybian, if you are going to be hauling your machine around a lot. Also, as I was poking around the MotorBunny I saw that it is possible to purchase a MotorBunny and pay in monthly installments as low as $25… which makes the MotorBunny far more accessible than the Sybian! I have lusted after a Sybian for a very long time, but the MotorBunny has definitely filled that Sybian shaped hole in my loins… it is an amazing machine, the attachments could be better (I highly recommend springing for a silicone attachment) but they aren’t the worst, the vibrations are incredibly powerful (have I mentioned that yet?) and the rotation feature is cool (even if I find it an odd sensation) and the fact that you can control it via the internet or bluetooth is a pretty sweet perk. I would say the quality of the MotorBunny is every bit as good as similar products (e.g. Sybian, Cowgirl) and is nearly half the price. The only downside is that it is noisy…there is no way to hide this machine in a house with roommates/parents/close neighbors… I don’t think you can get away with using this one under the covers the same way you can a bullet vibrator (I was able to damp the sound just a bit by placing it on top of my bed to use it… it still wasn’t super quiet, but the floor wasn’t rattling… but then I really missed the stability that the floor provided, the bed felt too wobbly to me). But if noise isn’t an issue for you, then I think you’ll be super pleased with the MotorBunny, I know I’m a big fan!
