Okay, so I’ve been trying out this thing on Twitter where I’ve been posting up weekly polls and have been allowing you the reader/follower pick which toy I use and review. I’ve also been doing this thing where I’ve been trying to release a new reiew every Monday (happy Monday!) and so far I am three for three. The only problem with this new system is that I don’t always get to write the review I wanted to write! This weeks poll consisted of the Water Slyde, the Mystim Public Enemy No 1 (which I did end up reviewing in earlier this week because I found a willing guinea pig… I mean partner… ), the Blush Novelties Rosé Lipstick Vibe and the Blush Novelties Noje G Slim. Personally, I was really itching to write about the Water Slyde this week, but then 39% of you all disagreed with me and wanted to see a review of the Blush Novelties Noje G Slim instead and if I’m honest… I was not looking forward to testing and reviewing this toy because it’s shape is not one of my favorites. The Noje Slim has that very classic ball on a stick shape many cheap g-spot vibrators have. I’m not saying it’s a bad shape, it’s just never been my top favorite.
But now that I have thoroughly whinged and whined about not getting to do the review I wanted to do, I’ve got to say… I’m kind of glad you all pushed me to get this one done. Turns out the Noje G Slim isn’t half bad! I was actually very surprised by its ability to vibrate in a reasonably deep and rumbly way! I would go so far as to even say I throughly enjoyed using it!
First, let’s talk a little about that shape shall we? The first thought that went through my mind when the Noje G Slim turned up at my door was “man, this thing is enormous!” I was honestly expecting something a quite bit smaller, something more petite. I am guessing the Noje G Slim must get it’s name from it’s long slim handle, because it’s certainly not named for that generously sized egg on the end of it. I used to raise chicken growing up, we would show them at the county fair every year. I really got into a small breed of bantam chickens called Silkies and the bump on the end of the Noje G Slim is about the exact size of a bantam chicken egg. This is a thing you know now, you are welcome. The head is about 1.5 inches in diameter at its widest point making it no slouch in the girth department. The long shaft makes it real easy for me to reach my g-spot with ease, plenty of length to play with, making it possible for me to find just the right spot regardless of how deep or shallow I want it. The long shaft also pretty comfortable to hold, it acts as a great handle for external play as well!
What the bulbous bantam egg head doesn’t do is provide a ton of pressure against my g-spot. Where the shaft meets the head the Noje Slim has a very gentle upwards swoop rather than a more dramatic curve “pressure based” g-spot stimulators like the Njoy Pure Wand or Comet Wand have. For me the egg head is all about transferring those vibrations onto my g-spot, without adding a whole lot of pressure (for me this is a downside, I like a lot of pressure on both my g-spot and clit).
Okay, now we need to take a moment to address the vibrations. Let’s just say I’m a little shook. I was not expecting the kind of rumble I got out of a toy like this. It wasn’t the rumble of a jet engine (like the Doxy Die Cast) but it definitely purred like a kitten (a large kitten)! I guess I shouldn’t really be all that surprised, the Noje G Slim is made by Blush Novelties and they have really been bringing their A game lately. I’ve liked almost everything I’ve tried of theirs lately.
In use I think my favorite part of the Noje G Slim was the POP I felt as I pushed it in and pulled it out. There is just something about that satisfying popping that sends shivers down my spine. Another way I enjoyed using the Noje G Slim was externally, rubbing the egg around my vulva and pushing it up against my clit. My least favorite way of using it was for its intended g-spotting purposes. It wasn’t terrible or anything, I just like the ability to add a lot more pressure (ala the Pure Wand) and I couldn’t seem to accomplish that with the Noje G Slim without making things uncomfortable. That being said though, I didn’t mind the rumbly vibes rolling around inside, it was rather titillating and using the Slim in a combination of all three of the above mentioned moves… well that was something worth enjoying indeed!
I am also a big fan of the fact that the Noje G Slim is rechargeable. I have owned this classic style of g-spot toy in the past (back when I also thought jelly toys were okay) and I remember them all being battery powered disappointments. Charging the Slim is a pretty straightforward affair, it comes with it’s very own USB style charging cable that is USB on one end and a little magnetic cap on the other. To charge simply place the magnetic cap on the base of the toy and plug the other end in a computer or USB wall adapter (or directly into the wall if you are one of those fancy people with USB outlets in their home/office). It takes roughly 2 hours to charge the Slim to full and you’ll get about 50 or so minutes worth of playtime out of a full charge. You’ll know the Noje G Slim is charging by the “breathing” white light at the base of the toy, when it’s finished charging the light will stay lit.
Operating the Noje G Slim is also an easy thing… well, mostly easy thing… the buttons are a bit stiff and hard to push at times. But the concept of operating it is pretty simple. At the base of the Slim are two oval buttons, one is the (+) button which you press and hold to turn the vibrator on as well as using it to cycle up through the vibration speed and pattern modes. The second button (which should come as no surprise) is the (-) button which will cycle you back down through the vibration settings and when you are ready to turn the Slim off you just press and hold it until it shuts down.
The Blush Novelties Noje G Slim is pretty nice. It’s an excellent choice for someone who is looking for a more affordable g-spot vibe or for someone who may like the classic g-spot toy style but also wants a toy with some power and quality, rumbly vibrations. It would also be ideal for anyone looking for an external vibe but would like something with a little extra length in the handle… the Noje G Slim is like having an egg vibrator on a stick! Even though I wasn’t super excited to tackle the Noje G Slim and this review, after giving it a through test the toy has really grown on me and I can happily recommend it!
The Blush Novelties Noje G Slim comes in three fantastic colors (Rose, Wisteria and Sage) and is available at my favorite online retailers! Pick yours up at SheVibe or Peepshow Toys (use code KITTEN for a 10% discount)!
