While attending the 2018 AVN Expo I met a man with the most fantastic of mustaches and a very excellent accent (I want to say it was Italian… but I am also very terrible with accents…), he was manning a booth for FT London. I was familiar with FT London only because they make the G-Vibe, a funny looking two pronged toy that has had me quite curious for quite some time now. So it was with equal parts curiosity over this gents amazing choice in facial hair as well as an interest in the G-Vibe that I ended up approaching the booth, my sex toy blogger spiel at the ready (“Hi, I’m Kitten Boheme I’m going to look at the floor while I fondle your sex toys because I am way to socially awkward for this human interaction stuff…”). We talked for quite some time, he gave me a VERY thorough rundown of all the products he had on display. Very informative (also, I had to pee the entire time… which is TMI, but I really want to set the scene for you)!
After our lengthy chat he handed me a set of the FT London Geisha Balls Magnetic. He told me to try them out, maybe review them, then get back to him… so… here we go fantastic mustache man… one review coming right up! I’m actually really excited to write this review, it has been six or so months in the making! Why so long you ask? Well… because Kegel balls take a bit more time to get to know… they take a good couple of weeks of wearing for me to even notice if I’m enjoying them and if they are doing me any good whatsoever. So it’s more of a slow burn kind of review… but here we are, six monthish later and I am ready to bang this review out!
The Geisha Balls Magnetic are a set of Kegel balls that you can use to strengthen the pelvic muscles (which among other benefits can lead to stronger orgasms). The set contains four balls of different weights. There are two pink balls which weigh in at 27 grams and two black balls which weigh in at 15 grams. The set also contains one silicone ‘net’ with a tail to allow for easy retrieval and removal of the Geisha Balls. It’s pretty straightforward and works pretty much the same way any other set of Kegel balls would work (except for the whole magnetic bit… that kind of freaked me out… but in a good way). They are made from a seamless, silky silicone that feels pretty luxurious to the touch and has almost no drag when inserted (although I did need a drop of a water-based lube to help me out).
So, the idea is to insert the Geisha Balls and wear them for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day. The way I ended up doing it was to pop them in when my morning alarm went off and to wear them while I went through my morning routine of brushing teeth, doing hair, washing anything that needs washing, putting on clothes and making breakfast. This seemed to time out to about 2o or so minutes and when I was finished getting ready for my day I would pull them back out, give them a wash and put them away so they were ready to go for the next day… this system worked for me, but you do whatever you want to do… pop them in before you go run errands or when you head to the gym… so long as you get your 15 to 20 minutes in you are golden. If you are brand new to Kegel Balls you would start with one black ball placed inside the silicone net. From there you would gradually increase the weight by adding one magnetized ball at a time. It’s the same logic that applies when weight training any other part of your body, gradually increasing the weight as your bodily adjusts and gets stronger. Once you work your way through the seven possible workout weights the Geisha Balls can be removed from the silicone net and used on their own, adding another degree of difficulty.
I have had about six months with my set of Geisha Balls, however I didn’t really start using them in seriousness until about mid-April and granted I didn’t wear them everyday (but I managed at least three to four days a week… sometimes I did managed a full seven days… but I did get a bit overwhelmed with life sometime around late may and ended up giving up on wearing them regularly sometime in late June… but I think I had a pretty good run with them…) so I don’t exactly have a vagina that can crack skulls (yet) but I can feel that the balls have been working. In the beginning the Geisha Balls left me with a vagina that felt sore, like it had a really great day a the gym the night before (which I guess it sort of did, the Geisha Balls are like a home gym for the vagina).
Now, my only other experience with Kegel balls to this point was with the Lelo Luna Noir Beads, which are a nice set of beads. But they had only two beads, where as the Geisha Balls come as a set of four (which I think I’ve already mentioned above and I guess am just repeating for word count…). The idea, as I understand from the conversation I had with fabulous mustache man, is to start with just one of the 15 gram black balls inside the silicone net, than over time, gradually increasing the weight by adding one magnetic ball at a time. Now, like I said, the Lelo Luna Noir Beads are a nice set of beads… but I absolutely love how much more customizable the FT London Geisha Balls are! So, you can start with the one 15 gram ball… then maybe add a second 15 gram ball and now you are working with a weight of 30 grams, now should that feel like its more than you are ready for you can swap the two 15 gram balls for just one of the pink 27 gram balls. Then from there you can do one pink and one black ball for a total of 42 grams… and so on and so forth. There are seven ‘difficulty’ levels in total, ranging from the single black ball at 15 grams all the way up to 84 grams using all four balls (but I’m sure you are good at math and have already figure this all out on your own). The idea is to eventually work up to removing the silicone net all together and working the balls from lightest to heaviest once again… just… free ballin’ it… It’s a neat system, I like it. Since I had already done some time with the Luna Noir Beads (and have been using them off and on for awhile after the review), starting with the 15 gram ball was not enough for me. So I decided to begin with a single 27 gram ball and worked from there. Although it was too light for me, I think its a fantastic starting point… the small ball is just so non-intimidating and a pretty gentle starting weight… it should work out well for any Kegel ball beginners… I’m honestly excited for you folks to try these out!
Other things I like about the FT London Geisha Balls Magnetic? Well, I have to give a shout out to the stellar packaging. I love the sturdy little container it comes in, it’s simple, it’s compact, it’s easy to store. Don’t want to keep the packaging? Well, that brings me to item number two… it comes with a handy-dandy storage bag! Still not convinced you need a set of these? How about if I also told you the Geisha Balls Magnetic came with a 1 year warranty! Also, have I mentioned how freakin’ easy these are to clean? Just look at all of these reasons to love the Geisha Balls Magnetic!
The only thing I am slightly uncomfortable with when it comes to the FT Geisha Balls Magnetic is the name. I’m a little turned off by the use of the word “Geisha”, I just don’t know if I like it being used on a sex toy.
Now for the easy part of this review… my recommendation! I think you can already guess what I’m going to say… but I’ll say it anyway… do I recommend the FT London Geisha Balls? You bet your sweet ass I do! As far as Kegel balls go, these are pretty awesome! I love that with all four balls the Geisha Balls cover weights from very beginner to a more advanced user, it is a set that can really grow with you as you become a Kegel master! The Geisha Balls definitely strengthened my vaginal muscles. I could feel real results (as could my Stunt Cock when he commented my orgasm felt like it was going to strangle his cock… while not the sexiest thing to say… it does show my Kegel’s are working…) and am pretty excited to continue using these until I have worked my way to wearing them at their heaviest weight without the net!
Looking to purchase a set of these excellent Kegel balls for yourself? You can purchase the FT London Geisha Balls Magnetic directly from the folks at FT London! I have yet to be able to find the Geisha Balls Magnetic for sale at any of my go-to online retailers… I know during our conversation, the fantastic mustached man did say these were a new product… so it is possible that they just haven’t started arriving in stores yet… I’ll update you if I start seeing them elsewhere! But until then, you can get them straight from the horses mouth (that sounded way better in my head…)!
The FT London Geisha Balls Magnetic were provided to me free of charge by FT London in exchange for my honest review.
