A hearty hello all my cool cats! Cool cats… yes… I think that is what I shall call all of my readers. You are all very cool cats indeed. Since you are such a cool cat, you no doubt have already read the review I just did of the Blush Novelties Aria Mi Vibe… and if you didn’t, go ahead and catch up with the rest of us, we’ll wait. Go on, click the link and give it a read, I won’t start the next review without you. …Did you do it? Okay, good. Now that you have read the Mi Vibe review, I have got yet another toy in the Aria line to talk about. Today I have the Blush Novelties Buzz Bunny to run you through. Since you have already read the Mi Vibe review (and you have read it, right?) you are already going to be pretty much up to speed with how I feel about a lot of the Aria Buzzy Bunny’s features. But, for those of you who are lazy (raises hand) or just impetuous and refusing to get up to speed, I will still give you all a quick run down of everything I already talked about in the Mi Vibe review (although no doubt, I’ll have said it far better in the previous review…).
Point number one already covered in previous review: OMG that bullet. Don’t let the fact that it is only the size of a pinky finger fool you, this little bullet has got some serious power going on all up inside it. It’s like… a soaking wet honey-badger that is pissed off and coming for you… (because I imagine that would be a pretty powerful thing… also, I’m terrible at analogies). The included bullet is programmed with ten vibrating functions total, the first five are the constant vibration settings of increasing intensities. The lower speeds feel very deep and rumbly to me, normally I’m a “pump it up to max” sort of gal, but with the Aria bullet I prefer to hang out down at those lower and mid range intensities. The higher you go the buzzier the bullet gets… although it does remain incredibly powerful for something so small. As far as vibration patterns go, I don’t mind them, there is at least one that I don’t absolutely hate but its not something I utilize often… I could have been 100% happier if we just replaced those last 5 patterns with just 5 more intensities… just super charge the hell out of this thing! My Stunt Cock on the other hand was a pretty big fan of its first two patterns. He enjoyed having the broad side of the bunny ears pressed gently against his balls and stroked up his shaft while alternating between the first two patterns (alternating is no easy task though… because of its one button operating system).
Operating the bullet is pretty simple. There is a single button at the bottom of the toy (I found it stiff and it took a bit of effort to press) that operates the vibe. Press and hold to turn on. Continuing to press the button will cycle the bullet vibe through all of its vibration settings/patterns. When you no longer require the services of the Aria bullet just press and hold it to turn it off once again. This sort of operations really is pretty standard for most bullets, nothing wild and crazy happening here. The only downside to the one button system is that you spend a lot of time cycling through every freakin’ setting. If I lose count and overshoot the 5th vibration setting I have to cycle through 9 settings to get back to number 5… and in my Stunt Cock’s case, he likes pattern 1 and pattern 2 and likes to alternate between them… only you can just go up and down with ease… nope… he has to cycle through everything any time he wants to switch to the other pattern. This is mostly a minor annoyance and really doesn’t affect my opinion of the toy… but I am a pretty big fan of toys that have the ability to move up and down through its modes, especially when it has so many functions.
Okay, now… where the Buzz Bunny differs from the Mi Vibe is in the included silicone sleeve. Whereas the Mi Vibe looked like a nubby bulb of garlic with heart shaped wings… the shape of the Buzz Bunny is much more… uhh… straight forward. It looks like a bunny, just as the name would suggest. So the sleeve of the Buzz Bunny allows the user to transform the included bullet into a rabbit style vibrator. It has an egg-shaped head complete with bunny face (eyes, nose, whiskers… the whole bunny kit and caboodle) and is topped off with two slightly curved ears… the only thing missing is a little nubby bunny tail on its backside. The shape of the silicone sleeve is undeniably adorably… so you know I love it. Some of the delicious rumblyness of the Aria bullet is dampened as it travels through the silicone sleeve, so I don’t get the same oomph with the rabbit ears as I do with the bullet alone… but it is still just powerful enough for me to orgasm with. The ears have a bit of flex and give to them, so I am able to spread the ears apart a bit and rest them on either side of my clit and let it work its magic. It’s not bad… it’s not my favorite rabbit toy, but it’s not bad for a bullet powered rabbit vibe! Also, those ears feel pretty spectacular buzzing around nipples… I’m just throwing that out there…
Another thing I really like about the Aria bullet is that its rechargeable. If seems like must bullet vibes of this small size are operated by a single AAA battery, so I absolutely love that this whole toy is rechargeable! What I don’t like though is the magnetic charging cable. I mean, I like magnetic charging cables in general… it’s just that I don’t like the Aria Buzz Bunny charger specifically. Much like the Mi Vibe, I find that the magnetic hold just isn’t strong enough. I’ve had the Buzz Bunny charging on my desk while I’ve been working and any bump or slight movement has knocked the charging cable just loose enough that it stopped charging. It’s not the absolute worst problem to have… but it would be nice if there was a more powerful grip on the whole thing.
My recommendation? Well, if you are looking for a reasonably affordable rabbit vibe or a pretty kick ass small bullet, I say go for it! The Blush Novelties Buzz Bunny is a fun little set that is both functional and adorable… what more could you possibly want?! Okay, sure… with the sleeve on, the bullet does seem to loose a bit of it’s rumble and the ears to trend towards the buzzy side… but it is still plenty powerful enough to provide me with acceptable orgasms. The silicone is also very soft and the whole toy feels like a quality piece but the price is still well within my budget (at the time of this review Betty’s Toy Box has the Buzz Bunny available for $55) and something I could definitely see myself gifting to a friend as a bawdy birthday gift or wedding shower present! This is my third toy in the Aria line (I also own the aforementioned Mi Vibe as well as the Hot Tongue who’s review is coming soon) and so far I have really enjoyed myself and the toys, I really do look forward to experiencing what the rest of the Aria line up has to offer!
