In my book, the We-Vibe Wish is freakin’ awesome. It is. I don’t know what else I can possibly say about it other than, “FREAKIN’AWESOME MAN.” But, I’ll try to come up with something more… because I can feel you staring at me, totally unconvinced, and possibly thinking I’ve gone completely mad.

We-Vibe has never failed to impress me, so far I have loved everything I’ve tried. The We-Vibe Tango is my go to bullet, I recommend it anytime someone comes to me looking for a strong external vibe. I’ve also recently been using the We-Vibe Nova and for a rabbit, it’s pretty dang awesome. We-Vibe is good at what they do… not, make that GREAT at what they do, and what they do is make quality, rumbly, powerful vibrators that make me squeal every time.
When Peepshow Toys offered to send me latest external vibrator from We-Vibe, I didn’t even hesitate, HELL YEAH YOU CAN SEND IT TO ME! I was excited I didn’t even need to hear any other details, I was in. What can I say, I love my We-Vibe Tango, I love my We-Vibe Nova… in my eyes, everything We-Vibe touches turns to gold. I’m sure plenty of others would disagree with me, and that’s cool… just know that you are wrong (I kid, I kid…. or do I?).

Before we get too far here, we need to have a little talk about something I know a lot of you are going to hate. Just take a deep breath and listen… the We-Vibe Wish is a pattern focused toy. I know, I know… calm down! I understand your frustration, I’m usually not a pattern girl myself, my brain and my clit can very easily become distracted when they are offered too much changing stimuli. Normally I would be right there with you with my torch and pitchfork in hand, demanding We-Vibe kill this pattern-only monstrosity… but before the rabble rousing begins, hear me out. While the Wish does work a little differently from your average vibe… it does it’s own thing very well! Instead of having a series of steady vibrations at various intensity levels, the Wish comes pre-programmed with 10 vibration patterns (I can hear your eye-rolling from here). These patterns don’t suck! I promise! While some of them have turned out better than others, I can honestly say I don’t hate any of them, each pre-programmed pattern was able to bring me orgasm. That’s 10 orgasms folks! Anything that can give me 10 solid orgasms is worth a good recommendation in my book.
The closest thing to a steady vibration the Wish has in it’s pre-programmed arsenal is the PowerPulse mode, the vibrations come like a rapid wave making them almost feel like a steady vibration… but not quite, there is something about the way the dual motors work together that cause it to feel just a little bit off, more like rapid waves or pulses. The PowerPulse setting worked for me though, the vibrations were constant enough that I had no trouble reaching an orgasm with it. But, if even after giving the We-Vibe Wish’s patterns the good old college try and you still aren’t satisfied, it is possible to create a steady vibration using the We-Vibe We-Connect app. In the app, if you select ‘my vibes’ from the menu then select ‘create vibe’ you will be able to make customized patterns (including no pattern at all). Select the ‘single motor’ option then ‘draw vibe’ and drag the pink line straight across your screen. That will create a steady vibration that you can use on your Wish.
When my We-Vibe Wish arrived, it was slightly larger than I was expecting. I really don’t know what I was expecting, but for some reason, I thought it would be smaller. With an overall length of 4.2 inches the Wish is about the size of my palm and it’s shape reminds me a lot of the Je Jouie Mimi Soft… sort of river stone-esque. The slightly cupped shape of the Wish also means it sits perfectly against my vulva making it super easy to use hands free. I can slip it into my underwear and continue working at my desk while also getting a great orgasm … hooray for multi-tasking! Unfortunately the Wish is just a bit to big and clunky to actually walk around or leave the house with it hidden in my underwear. Its flat shape also fits pretty well between bodies that are banging, making it a pretty great choice if you are looking for a vibrator to use during intercourse.
The Wish isn’t 100% amazing at pin-point vibration, but I am able to press the squishy tip into my clit and get what I need. If broad stimulation is your thing, you are going to really love the wish. The Wish also features two motors, which I think really adds a lot of depth and rumble to its patterns. I really am impressed.
The We-Vibe Wish is covered in a deliciously plush and squishy silicone in a very cheerful teal color and features a rounded tip of thick squishy-soft silicone. On the bottom end, there are two triangular metal pads, which I feel like I need to point out are not buttons. Trust me, no matter how hard you push them… they don’t do anything. I’m only saying this to save you the embarrassment of having someone point out to you that those are the pads to dock the magnetic charger to… and not buttons to control the Wish with. Yes. I did this. Can we not make a big deal about it? Also on the bottom of the wish is a single white button… this button does control the Wish (if you are opting to not use the mobile app). Press the button once to turn the toy on, and then press it again (and again, and again, and again…) to cycle through the pre-programed vibration settings. When you are ready to turn it off again, just hold down the button until the toy powers down.
If you are not planning on using the We-Vibe Wish with the We-Connect app, I think you are going to lose out on a lot of this toys potential. Without the app, the Wish operates at more or less at just one intensity level (which I believe is a 7, out of 10 possible intensities). With the exception of the first three PowerPulse modes, which go from low, medium to high. If you need to adjust the intensity either up or down on any of the other patterns, you will have to pair the Wish with the app.

Using the app also allows you to play long distance with a partner who also possesses a smart phone and the We-Vibe app. I only messed around with this feature a little bit, I downloaded the app on my Stunt Cock’s phone and linked them together (don’t ask me how, I honestly just kind of mashed buttons until things worked.) and was able to have him control the Wish from the bedroom while I sat in the living room (eating french toast sticks from Burger King, because that’s how I roll). Before this, we tested to see if it was possible to use the Wish just paired with one phone over the bluetooth, but by the time I left the bedroom with the Wish our connection was lost. So, you’ll need to do the ‘connect with lover’ feature for any long distance use of the Wish.
Now for the technical this and thats. The We-Vibe Wish is rechargeable (yay!) via the magnetic USB charging cable included. I’m not totally in love with the magnetic strength of the charger however. During my first charge of the Wish I plugged it in and as I was leaving the room I bumped the desk, I really didn’t think much of it and didn’t bother checking on the toy. When I went back later to see if it was charged up and ready for action I discovered that the cable had come loose and it was just as dead as it was when I started charging it. NOOOooo… DOOOO NOOOOOT WAAAAAAANT. The Wish is also waterproof, so go ahead and take it into the tub with you, or to your next kinky pool party. And, as I’m sure you know by now, because the Wish is covered in silicone you will want to avoid using silicone based lubes otherwise you risk ruining your precious vibrator.
Something else I found pretty interesting about the We-Vibe Wish is that my Stunt Cock really enjoyed using it on its lower, more rumbly settings and letting it vibrate against the shaft of his penis. He is not usually a vibration sort of dude, so this is a pretty big deal I think. If it gets his seal of approval, I think that is a pretty big endorsement for the Wish!
And that is the We-Vibe Wish in a nutshell. Honestly, I had so many thoughts and feelings about this toy that I got a little overwhelmed trying to convey it all to you guys. I feel like I still have a lot more I could say about it, but none of us really want to sit at our computers reading a novel. The TLDR version of this review is “We-Vibe Wish is good. Especially if you like patterns. And rumbly vibrations.”
I have been reading other blogger’s reviews of the We-Vibe Wish and I’m kind of disappointed that more people aren’t loving this toy as much as I am. I know the pattern only feature is really throwing people off, but I think the rumble and depth really make up for it. Also, I think all the grumbling becomes a bit of a moot point if you are using the app to control your Wish, since it is possible to get a constant vibration setting using the ‘my vibes’ feature. I do wish that it was possible to adjust the intensity levels without having to use the app, I think that is my biggest complaint about this toy. However, I am happy that the pre-programmed intensity is high enough for me to enjoy straight out of the box. So, do I recommend the We-Vibe Wish… what do you think? Of course I do! I love this little external vibrator, I love the power, I love the deliciously deep rumble, I love the shape and color… it is just all around a solid toy… if you can get past the idea that it is a pattern only toy. However if you absolutely need that constant, uninterrupted vibration to reach orgasm, you might not fall as enthusiastically in love with the We-Vibe Wish as I did (sad face). I think the We-Vibe We-Connect is an interesting feature, something that could make long distance play time more interesting although I do kind of hate having to rely on an app to change my intensity levels. But overall, I think the We-Vibe Wish is worth the purchase!
