Here is a new thing I’m trying: Second Opinions! Sometimes I absolutely hate a toy… or super love a toy… but I know that is only my opinion (as much as I want to believe I am always right…)… so when I find a toy that I have super strong opinions about… I am going to find another amazing blogger to give you a second opinion! Now you don’t just have to take my word for it…
Not too long ago I reviewed the VeDO Bam Mini Bullet Vibrator… and I loathed it. I loooooathed is so much (for realsies, go read how much I hated it). Because of all the feels I had for this thing, I knew we needed a second opinion, so I asked the most excellent Cordelia Michaelson if she wouldn’t mind giving me her thoughts on the toy!
And if you enjoyed Cordelia’s review, please be sure to check her out on twitter @CMichaelsonblog!

Hey all!
The toy I’m talking about today is the VeDo Bam Mini. My first impression of the toy was that I liked the size. It’s small and discreet, easily storable. The second thing I liked was the color. I’m a sucker for all things blue so the wicked pretty light teal immediately made the toy more visually appealing to me. I know, I know, who cares about the looks when that’s not the point of the toy. Welp, I’m someone who enjoys a decent looking toy on top of function. Also, despite the mini being quite firm, I really enjoyed the silky silicone cover on it. It provided a nice, smooth, feel to it. Again, sucker for that. I reviewed another toy of similar material and loved it.
Upon examining the box, I found there wasn’t really much information on there and also noticed there wasn’t much to go on in the little instructional booklet that comes with it. No biggie there, but for some it could be. The box, however, was done nicely with the toy on the cover.
Something else I want to bring up is the charging method. First off, I really love that it’s rechargeable with a USB cable. This is my second toy like this and they’re becoming my new favorite thing because I hate buying batteries and I hate having to hunt them down after a toy dies. (Who doesn’t?) LOVE that feature. So much that I don’t think I’ll ever buy another battery operated toy. Ever. (Change my mind.) The only thing I didn’t like was that it’s actually a bit difficult to get the charger attached to the toy and remove it. I was actually worried about how hard I had to yank and had a brief moment of ‘please for the love of all things holy, do not break this damn toy before you get to use it.’ Also, the light to indicate it’s charging comes on and off which makes me wonder if it was charging, how long it was charging, etc.
This toy is NOT waterproof. For me, that does not make or break a toy. Simply an observation.
I really liked the various vibrations of this toy. They were strong but not overly strong (you know.. the toys that make your hand go numb after ten minutes…) they were definitely enough to bring on an orgasm from clitoral stimulation (at least for me, can’t speak to everyone). The VeDo has ten settings and personally, I liked the pulse setting the best. That, however, seems to be a personal favorite of mine when it comes to toys with multiple settings. It’s not the quietest toy I’ve ever worked with but it’s not the loudest toy either. The pointed tip gave this toy a little bit of an advantage and I think if it was a bit more rounded it would have been a little bit more difficult to get an orgasm.
The toy itself is on the smaller side, like I said, discreet and easily storable. I would estimate it at roughly 3 inches in length and maybe about a nickels width thick. Because this toy is silicone, I would only use water based lube to avoid break down, if you need it. I only used it for clitoral stimulation and didn’t need lube. I wouldn’t suggest it for internal or anal play.
It was super easy to clean up and that’s always a huge plus when it comes to toys for me.
One thing that truly, truly annoyed me about this toy was the “off switch” or rather, lack there of. I cycled through each vibration mode and even then, could not get it to stop. Maybe it was just me, maybe I got a fluke but I did this twice and had issues with getting it to stop vibrating. I actually had to unscrew the top at one point because it just wouldn’t stop…
All and all, while this isn’t my *favorite* toy, it’s not a bad basic bullet. I would suggest it for someone who has an easier time orgasming (I don’t… and then I get frustrated quickly.) or someone looking for a toy to start with in the bedroom (partner or solo), or if you’re just looking for a little something extra that won’t ‘break the bank.’ So to speak.
