Satisfyer 2 – Sex Toy Review

Satisfyer 2 Silicone Nozzle At this point reviewing the Satisfyer 2 seems kind of pointless. It is an older model of Satisfyer and the way the company has been furiously updating their toys (hello, Next Generation), well… it already seems like it’s a dinosaur of the suction based toy world. But, I will review it, for two reasons: 1. I said I would review it and 2. There are still enough Satisfyer 2’s floating around out there in the retail world that it doesn’t hurt to let you guys know whether or not it’s worth picking one up should you run into one. Although more and more I am seeing the Satisfyer 2 being replaced in online toy catalogues by the Satisfyer 2 Next Generation, which looks nearly identical… so I’m curious what’s changed (if anything).

One of the biggest difference between the Satisfyer 2 and all of the other Satisfyer toys I have reviewed thus far is that it is not rechargeable. The Satisfyer 2 is powered by a pair of AAA batteries. Shhh! Can you hear that? Can you hear my internal screams of frustration? I am sure there are a handful of you who think battery powered is awesome and it’s easier for you to pop a few batteries in and get back to playing rather than waiting an hour or two for a toy to charge… but what about those of us who haven’t reliably had spare batteries in the house since their discman stopped being the preferred source of music on the go? What about those of us who can barely keep fresh batteries in our TV remotes? Huh!? What about us! I greatly prefer rechargeable. Also, in my experience, most battery powered toys are not as powerful as their rechargeable counterparts. But, battery powered is often less expensive (unless you factor in the years and years or replacement batteries you’ll have to buy for it… and what about the impact on the environment…) and therefore favored among the thriftier set. The Satisfyer 2 does not come with batteries, so be prepared and have those on hand before you pick up your toy (nobody likes getting a new toy and having to wait to use it until their next trip to Target). Inserting the batteries is super easy, the bottom half of the handle can be removed by giving it a good twist. This will expose the hollow cavity for your batteries, just slide those in, screw the bottom back  on and away you go! The Satisfyer 2 is billed as being waterproof, so if you will be playing with it in water, be sure you really screw that bottom half back on tight!

Satisfyer 2 Button Placement

Compared to other Satisfyer models the Satisfyer 2 seems really ill-conceived to me… like Satisfyer was in so much of a hurry to get this model out that they really didn’t think much about design and function. The design of the 2 reminds me a lot of a pipe, like the Satisfyer 2 would be more at home hangin’ out between the lips of an old man than nestled in my pussy lips (or maybe it looks like the hood of a cobra about to strike). It is also much bigger and clunkier than most of the other models. Although it is seemingly much lighter than either the Pro 2 or Pro Penguin, so it’s got that going for it.

Now, let’s talk about buttons. If you’ve been keeping up with my Satisfyer reviews you will know that button functionality has been a huge issue for me and that I have been praising the Next Generation models for having added a (+) and (-) feature. Well, the Satisfyer 2 does feature both an up and down button but the placement of them is horrible! All three control buttons are placed way far up near the head of the toy, which makes my already awkward grip on the toy even worse. More often than not I hit the power button while fumbling for the setting control buttons. So while I appreciate that this Satisfyer model does have an easy way for me to cycle up and down through its various settings, the awkward placement of these buttons makes me question if the people at Satisfyer have hands and if they tested the Satisfyer 2 with those hands. To quote our President: “Very bad. TERRIBLE.”

Another thing that sets the Satisfyer 2 apart from the other models is it’s much larger nozzle opening. This means the Satisfyer 2 is able to stimulate a much wider area, which is great for those who have a large clit or those who want the stimulation focused in a much broader area around their clit. I am in that last group, I really like this larger opening, my clit isn’t left feeling quite as overwhelmed and exhausted when more of the surrounding area is also being stimulated. With other Satisfyer I frequently position the nozzle onto areas next to my clit, as the direct and focused stimulation can become too much far too quickly. This larger opening is definitely something I would like to see carried through to newer models of the Satisfyer!

Satisfyer 2 Battery Powered Toy For a battery powered toy the Satisfyer 2 is still quite powerful. I have no real complaints here, like the other Satisfyer models, the Satisfyer 2 gave me an intense and near effortless orgasm. It is not as powerful as the Pro 2, but I rarely use those top end settings anyway, so I don’t really feel all that cheated using the Satisfyer 2.

So, why choose this model over the others? Personally, I wouldn’t. But I can see some advantages other may prefer. The first being budget. The Satisfyer 2 is much cheaper than the other models, which makes it an attractive starting point. If you aren’t sure whether you’ll enjoy this style of stimulation or not, the Satisfyer 2 is priced in a way that you are not throwing away a ton of money on this model. Another reason one might choose the Satisfyer is that it would make the perfect traveling companion. Because it is battery powered there are no cables to keep track of and you don’t need to worry about finding an outlet when it comes time to charge it back up. You are also able to remove the batteries while traveling which means you avoid the awkward possibility of having it turn on while bouncing around in your luggage. If you are looking to dip your toe into the touchless air technology pool, then by all means, the Satisfyer 2 is a solid enough toy for that. It will give you a really good idea of what other toys on the market might be like and give you a sense on whether or not it’s worth it to you to upgrade to the newer and rechargeable models. If budget is not an issue and you are ready to jump in whole hog and buy a Satisfyer, I would personally urge you to check out the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation or the Satisfyer Pro 2 Penguin Next Generation.
